Basically ... the controls don't work. I can open -any- game with it ... but the controls don't work. I'm running Version 1.8.0 Beta. And yes the dafault joypad is set to 1 ... any suggestions ?

Did you try to remap the controls? Just go to Joypad -> Configure -> press the button/key/pad/you want.

I've tried that ... but it doesn't let my type anything ?

Try to 'reinstall' it and see how it turns out. If the problem still exists you may checked with you drivers whether it is the latest ones or not.

If still doesn't, the last option could be this one, not recommended though.
