no you dont need bios. project 64 runs games without you having to get any plugins yourself. what is the extension of the file? (.n64,.nes.iso) it is possible that its a fake. in that case get norton armed and ready.

Put your N64 rom in the defined rompath of project64, the press F5 to update the list. It will reads if its know or not.

The best way would be to verify your roms with GoodN64 (http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/utils.html)

Type goodn64 -ren on a .bat file, unzip goodn64 pack and execute the batch on the same folder as the rom. It would reanme and list (N4have.txt) if the rom's it's good, verified ([!]) or bad dumped ([b]). If not listed , probably it's not a N64 rom or it's hacked, although it might be a new dump, (hardly possible)

Many project64 compatible plugins (http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/n64plugins.html) are very good btw, like RiceVideo or N-Rage Dinput

Just because I'm simply don't know how to make an emulator like that as I have no single knowledge of programming. Furthermore you yourself don't know how to program it either. So, simple route is ask the author of 1964 whether he would help you or not.

1964's Official Site (http://1964emu.emulation64.com/)

No.

You can ask the main developer at Project64 Official Site.

and can you make your own roms or emulators
No, we are just helping for those who had problems in dealing the emulator by most of them coming for this forum. Furthermore we are only provide emulators, not ROMs from this site.

May be the rom is a fake.Cause i can play every mario game with 1964!

There is no other possible explanation.
Try download at another location.
You can ask me if you want for that kind of things.

most ppl dont use 1964. it could be preferance or it could be because it doesnt run as good as project 64. id try the later though simply because its known as the best n64 emulator out there and its about as simple to use as a nes emulator. also dont rule out your rom is corrupt and that you may have to download another game.i suggest using some of the free domain ones here on the site. they are really crappy little games but they are still good for testing your emulator.

Mario64 even worked fine on UltraHLE, the first N64 emulator that was released. I think your ROM is busted or your settings are knackered. It could also be a very bad computer (a 286 won't run your N64 games) so maybe posting your system specs might help us to help you solve your problem.

Right now, I'd just want to know...... as I am getting confused. :p

Oh well,
1. Did you burn your roms into that disc your mentioned?
2. You ran it the emulator with CD (Which contained roms)?
3. What's your PC specifications?
