hey well im sort of new to all the emulator stuff well this is what happens...i put in my ffxi to play and all and its working fine and all but then when its changing from one scene to the next the area where its black, it will freeze and just sit there...the music and all is still play...and sometimes when im in battle it will also just freeze and sit there, nothing will happen...my ffxi is also a burned copy so will that make a diff? do i have to change anything with my cdrom config settings or anything? any help would be really appreciated, thanks

You can fix it by using ePSXe 1.5.2, not the last 1.6.0. Also using the "special game fixes" for "FFIX" on Pete's or Peops GPU plugins might help you. You can get it at ePSXe site (http://www.epsxe.com) :)

thanks for the reply, but when i got it on 1.5.2 it was working fine and then it stopped and then i checked the command window or console or whatever its called and it said error reading cd...do you think its the plugin im using? im using epsxe cdr wnt/w2k core 1.5.2 because when i use epsxe cdr aspi core 1.5.2 it says error loading wnaspi32.dll

You need to install aspi layer (http://members.fortunecity.com/forceaspi18/). (Sorry, hagbard. I stole it from your posts. :p )

Or, you may try to use other CD plugins in which I used SaPU CD plugin.
