For no obvious reason, zsnes is behaving very odd on my 2800+ laptop. It's not the sound since when it's disabled it's still going slow.. The thing is, I though it would work if I skipper 2 frames instead of one, and then it rocketed away. There was no chance that you could see what was happening since everything just blurred by. The system spec of the computer is:

AMD Sempron™ processor 2800+
Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional Edition (SP2)
15.0" XGA TFT Display
Integrated graphics 64MB
512MB DDR

Anyone have any idea if this is fixable? or should I just abandon the thought of playing my favourite games while travelling?

Did you download the latest WIP version from here (http://www.ipherswipsite.com)? Perhaps this will help.

Sorry to hear that :(
You can also try Snes9x (http://www.snes9x.com) or try the Zsnes forums for help.

Extract from ZSNES 1.42 FAQ:

# Q: Why does the game slow down even though I'm using auto frame rate and the FPS is pretty high?
# A: A game slows down like that when it executes its code beyond the speed of CPU emulation that ZSNES currently handles. To reduce slowdowns, increase the percentage of execution by editing zsnesw.cfg.

Looks it something related with your problem. Good luck ;)
