View Full Version : Game Problem: I can’t get FF6 Brave New World to run

Trying to run it on a Fire TV. I’ve tried Snes9x, SuperRetro16, and a bunch of different cores on Retroarch. All I ever get is a black screen and occasionally distorted flashing red one. I’ve got the very same rom running on my computer so I don’t think the rom is bad. Any advice would be appreciated!

Only one solution is changing core to bsnes or higan.

If not work rom is bad or broken core.
Best way is update to latest.

Bsnes is among those I’ve already attempted and Higan doesn’t seem to be available. All my cores are up to date. The vanilla version of FF6 plays just fine so I don’t think any of the cores are broken either.

So maybe problem is with gpu overclocked or too hot.
I also consider video options like shaders and video driver.
Mess with those.

I switched to the Vulkan driver, enabled shaders. Doesn’t seem to make a difference.
