Zsnes Netplay, 2 person controlling player 1?

Hi, this might look like an odd question but I am trying to play final fantasy IV with someone via netplay.... Ok this is the odd part, since it isn't a multiplayer game we wanted to "cooperate" but for this to work each of us would have to control player 1 which does not seem possible with zsnes. The question is, is there a way to do that with another emulator or with an older version of zsnes?

Oh well...... It doesn't matter anymore I started a game on psx (ff collection).
