Is there a way to start DKC2 near the end?

A couple of months ago, I made it near the end of DKC2. I was playing a level, and then I accidentally saved state after getting a game over. I had to start back from the beginning again, and obviously I didn't want to do that so I stopped playing.

Is there a way I can start playing it again at the spot I stopped? I would like to start DCK3 after I'm done with this game.

Its sounds like boredom and burnout.

Give yourself time and when you will be ready you will back to game.

If you really need finish the game use cheats.

If you saved the game, just load it. Game saves are not the same thing, so it should be ok. Save states are bad, never use them. If you do increment as you go so you can fall back on them.

I saved the game itself at the beginning, and relied on save states from there on out. After my only save state was ruined, I could only start back at the beginning.
