i can't make the rom of aliens vs predators operate because there are missing files. is it the rom that's not functioning or is it something else. any advice would be much appreciated.

Maybe you missed the .chd file.

It took me a LONG time to find a working version of that rom. There just happens to be many sites that carry the same bad dump.
*sigh* man I miss MAME dk.

hanz: so you did manage to get a working rom? do you still remember the url where you got it? i miss that game so much.
