DVD to Avi?

i hav the rocks movie - walking tall on an original dvd but i want to sumhow convert it to an avi file on my computer (so its about 700mb) is this possible if so can u tell me what type of software is needed to do so

You will need:

- DivX codec.
- DVD Decripter (if it's copy-protected).
- GordianKnot (I guess it's named that way).
- CDex (for MP3 sound).

I have all these programs, but I haven't tried them yet.

try using dvd-decrypter with dvd-shrink. i dont know exactly what to do but many people i know who are into piracy prefer these programs
