Trouble exporting from TGB dual to VBA

So, as difficult as this process can be I have gotten as far as successfully trading the pokemon I want from Yellow to Crystal. However, the save file created by TGB is a .SVO file that is 82KB and I dont know how to Convert/Import it back to VBA. I have tried simply renaming it as a .SAV file but that did not work.

Can anyone help me or tell me why it didnt just overwrite my .SAV file to begin with?

Forget this. I have a better idea of what is going on and so am making a new thread. the 82Kb file is/was a save state.
