I am using the zsnesw emulator but I have tried a usb pad a xbox 360 pad and non work when i try using it?

I'm pretty sure zsnes will not support that Xinput stuff (360). Normal game pads like HID type controller should work on the latest version. I would either get a normal usb game pad or try snes9x.

I do have a usb pad, yet that still dont work, is this the same for all emulators

You have to map the gamepad to the emulator. Zsnes to to old to use use snes9x.
