saving games

How do i save ps1 games? Ive tried just saving the state but when i reload the state it often crashes when i click on something.

Saveing the state is never a good move. It can work but often causes troubles. Why not just save the game like you normally would? When you save the game (in game, like a real system) it saves the data in another way and is much more reliable.
