Any news on a 3ds Emulator?

I see that 3ds has been out 5 years now and just wondering if there's any news on a working real 3ds emulator(one with bios where it isn't a scam) and why a emulator is taking so long?
Just wondering if anyone is even working on a emulator for 3ds and how long before we see any on this system?

There are no mature 3DS emulators yet. The best so far is Citra (http://citra-emu.org/) which can sort of play a handful of games.
