Citra emulator question

I've downloaded Citra 3ds emulator from the official website, before the installation of the program there were a lot of term of agreements things like "citra works best with this:[insert random scam program here]".I didn't accept any of these things offcourse but after installing Citra I found myself having like 5 browser hijackers.Luckily it seems like I don't have any more problems and my anti virus eliminated all of these things.The weird thing is that I downloaded Citra from the official website but I got infected anyways.
Am I the only one that had this problem?

Where exactly did you download the installer from? This is the official site: http://citra-emu.org

And at the time of this post there are no compiled versions available for download, you can however download the source and compile it yourself.
