I'm new to the world of emulators, and I'm looking for an emulator to run on my Windows7 computer. My requirements for an emulator are:

1. Free
2. No ads
3. No viruses
4. Relatively easy to use

I'm looking for an emulator that can run more recent consoles, from around the
N64->Playstation 2/XboxOriginal

Where do I find one like this and where do I get it from?

Also, if you have any other advice, such as the best place to get roms, please contribute.

Wow, you are misinformed about a few things here.

1) Every emulator available for the PC is ad/virus free.
2) Easy to use is subjective, what is easy to me may not be easy to you. All emulators take some learning.
3) Very few cost money. All n64/xbox/ps2 emulators are free.

n64) http://emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/
ps2) http://emulator-zone.com/doc.php/ps2/
xbox) http://emulator-zone.com/doc.php/xbox/

N64 emulation is best had with pj64 IMO, many also like Mupen64.
PS2 emulation is best with PCSX2
xBox does not really emulate well and I'm the wrong guy to help you on that system.

Roms are illegal, we can't help you find them, its the same law as downloading music or movies.
