I have recently bought a Nintendo GameCube controller aswell as a pc adapter, i have been trying to setup the controller with project 64, yet everytime i try to configure the controller and change any button pj64 just puts it to X Rotation -.
i have found a way to setup all the button without using the c analog stick but there are some games where i need the c buttons to be binded to the c analog stick. (mainly zelda where its to hard to use the directional pad for the c buttons)
Is there anyway i can setup the controller for this, or even a .cp file i can download with the setting i need thanks.

Yeap so may adapters do this, looks like you found the button work around but getting the C stick is going to be hard. I assume you tried hold it down then hitting the detection? The main reason is that the C stick has no dead zone in the OS. You can try to calibrate the stick in window but most of the time that does not get it. Every adapter has different assignments so no CP file will help you. I also dont think the cp file is easy to edit but I could be wrong.

i have tried to calibrate it, and it seems like the C stick works fine in the test. I assume this means i'll need a better adapter, can you recommend 1 that will work. These adapters are only available to me through the internet, as i live in NZ no shop will sell anything like them here

Well I don't mean to boost but I do make the best game adapters on the planet(see sig) ;) I do make single adapters as well but there are many other options. Mayflash does an OK job, and are cheep. I dont have any issues with shipping so maybe I'm your best bet.

the adapter i actually have at the moment is the mayflash one lol. From this youtube video i just found of someguy showing you how to use the same adapter with pj64, he has the same problem and can bind all but the C stick. If your adapters don't have this problem i think ill price one up

I didn't make adapters for a financial gain, that is why they work. My adapter is more known for its compatibility then anything else. The idea was one box for any controller to usb. Though when I develop my firmware I test with emulators not just windows like most companies do. Also you can update firmware on my device. So if an emulator changes the way it does things, I can release an update my code. Dolphin has done this many times.

What plugin are you trying to use for input by the way? I find that Jabo's Direct Input doesn't do a good job at detecting.
