roms not working

Hi there I can't seem to find any info anywhere about this problem but I need help!!! I have a drastic nds emulator and a snes emulator. Lately when I download ndes roMs they won't open in my nds emulator and when I click on them my snes emulator will open saying can't open as this is not a snes rom... how do I get these roms to open and work in my ds emulator again

Your kind of in a bad situation here. This is for your info, I'm not try to be rude...

1) Roms are not legal, you really should not openly admit you are downloading them. Some forums will band you for mentioning this, we dont do that here.
2) Your problem is that your a) not downloading what you think you are, or b) not extracting them.
3) We can only help you with b as we can't condone nor help you get roms.

Are you sure the roms you have are not in an archive? What is the file extension.
