Zsnes the srceen goes black after awhile during gameplay

Hi I need help on ZSNES emulator I playing a game for a awhile then it goes black is there way to fix this problem? Please let me know I really appreciated it thanks.

Probably a stupid suggestion on my part. Does the game stop altogether, or do you still hear audio?
