I am currently playing Pokemon Fire Red on VBA rerecording v23.2 and have all my saves in the .sgm format that this version saves in.
In order to trade pokemon i downloaded VBA Link 1.8. I converted my .sgm files to .sav files by exporting them as battery files. Then opening as battery imports into VBA Link which allowed me to make my trades.
Now i want to convert the newly created VBALink files with my traded pokemon back to .sgm files so they are supported on VBA rerecording v23.2.
I have found lots of threads discussing how to convert files from vba to vbalink but nothing about how to turn them back from vbalink into vba.
I have tried simply changing the extension to .sgm but then just receive the message
'Cannot load save game for > >'
Of course I could simply run the game through vbalink but vba v23.2 runs much better and would prefer to use that to play the game.
Any help would be much appreciated.
