Could we consider hosting plugins? Seems its near impossible to find them any more and more importantly a home page for them. Some boards want you to login to get then and want you to download and install spam. Since EZ is one of the most well know sites, the searches come up first. Not only would this fix the plugin downloading issue it would increase our traffic. Ideal we would need to host each version as many times you need version x.x.x to run game x.

Umm, google works for me. I found every plugin that I needed for almost all emulators. :D

I'm talking about the people that have troubles not the fortunate like you :p I think perseverance will get you there. I'm talking about helping people that have the issues. Some plugins just are not easy to find for many.

like rice the only plugin that fixes mystical ninja: starring goemon

the site that has the plugin only gives it to members and, their no longer activating accounts.

That is an old plugin, in fact Rice is still being worked on by the people on emutalk.net, as well as other plugins abandoned by the original author.

that's for sure
04
05
06
08
none of them are going to work well with 2.0.0.14
then there's the fact that i've tried to join emutalk.net they still have to send me an activation email.... 4 days later.

When it comes to N64 plugins and PJ64 I can pretty much play all most of the games I have with the default plugins. Do you have any better ones not bundled with the emulator? It's been a while since I tried any extra ones.

Yes but as he said its the only version that works for that game!

My point is sometimes you need the old once, and above is an example. No where on the net is a nice archive, why not start one?

I totally agree, but I think we should host several versions of plugins as well, Ive archived several myself for personal usage.

My proposal is that everyone that has plug-ins just list them ( text ) in here. Then an admin can collect the text in put it in the top post( with names of how has them ). Once we have a list, and Lefteris_D thinks its a good idea, we up load them to the site here ( however that works best ). I can post my collection on my html/ftp so that they can be downloaded easily. Or maybe one some has an ftp we can all upload to.

Ok, let's make the list of what you think we need and we can host them here.

Ok I think its best to start with one console or emulator at a time.

n64:
These are the n64 emulators I have, the rest I gave up on. To do this I copied all dll's from a plugin folder to a temp folder. Then in a command window did a dir. Right click mark the select just the file names and copy. Now some emulators have ini files and folders and stuff but no need to show all of that right now.

1964 These plugins are universal to pj64 and via versa. But I want to make sure I showed what I have for both.

i have the following from 1964video and they work great with project64

1964video
1964video
ricevideo.dll
ricevideo.exp
ricevideo.lib

you need all of these in the plugin folder to get mystical ninja to work right.

It would also be useful if you say what version of Glide64 you have, they don't seem to differentiate the file name. like, Glide64 Wonder, or Glide64 Napalm, or Glide64 FINAL.

ulaoulao
September 30th, 2013, 02:40
Yeah though glide wrappers are not really plugins. I think it be best to put glide wrapper in its own category. Plus they dont go per emulator. In my case those are the defaults.

Lefteris_D
September 30th, 2013, 04:52
First of all, no ultraHLE plugins. There is no need to support such old technology. Also no files already bundled with PJ64 or 1964, you can use versions not included in the archives.

Also, I plan to repurpose the following page for that task (it's a "bit" out of date): http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/n64plugins.html

ulaoulao, can you please ZIP all your files in 1 archive and upload them to https://mega.co.nz ? I will split them to archives etc.

Reminds me of Aldo's PSX plugins which includes all PSX plugins inside.

Anyway, that is a good suggestion. Easy to let people to find it. :)

ok, been a bit since I updated 1964... so all of the plugins I have are old because all 1964 plugins from the latest download start with 1964. I dont have any of those. So I uploaded what I had to 1964.zip.

I pretty much share these with pj16.

Mmm, I use Glide64 quite alot since its the only way I can emulate n64 properly without various graphical issues, so I think I know a little bit about it. The Glide3x.dll in the executable folder is the wrapper, the plugin isn't that necessarily, and that isn't the .dll that I meant when I was talking about different versions. Im talking of course about the plugin itself. I think I rambling, but I wanted to clarify that there are significant differences between the wrapper, and the plugin itself. I think I am off topic.

Oh, and certain Glide64 plugins require a different version of the Glide wrapper.

Ok, just PM me a link with the ZIP and I can start splitting the files. It may take a bit of time to sort it on the site.

Here's a pack of most notable Zilmar spec N64 emulators and plugins: [URL="mediafire.com/download/57bgvkraykpylsw/N64_Emulator_Pack.rar"
It comes from this wiki page where people have put together a pretty good review of N64 plugins and emulators, and links to the latest version of the plugins: emulation-general.wikia.com/wiki/Recommended_N64_Plugins
And about emulators: emulation-general.wikia.com/wiki/Nintendo_64_emulators

As for PS1 plugins the best ones are listed and linked here (Zophar has a complete list of mostlikely outdated plugins): emulation-general.wikia.com/wiki/Recommended_PSX_Plugins

I'm confused? I used the link you gave me... I see a file called 1964.zip I think that was the name of it ( been too long ) maybe you can see the date.

Lefteris_D
October 22nd, 2013, 08:12
I only mentioned https://mega.co.nz if that is what you mean. You can see the file because you uploaded it (saved browser cookies etc) but I still need a direct link from you. Use another host if you have problems providing a link.

Ok, got you. Looked like a online drive to me at first. Now from last night to now, the file has been removed? I'll see if I can re upload it later.

Lefteris_D

No, it should still be there.

Looks like it works based on cache. My system at work does not see it but at home it does. Here is the link it shows

Lefteris_D
October 23rd, 2013, 09:34
Ok got it. From a first look no promises here as several of the plugins are already bundled with the emulator. I'll see what needs to be separate.

Lefteris_D
October 23rd, 2013, 10:26
Ok I gave it a check. The majority of the plugins are already bundled with Project64 or 1964 already, notable exceptions are Nrage Input (sourceforge has newer files). Some of the other plugins are old or discontinued in favor of newer ones.

I am really tempted to remove some from (http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/n64plugins.html) here but I'd rather keep them there even if not used. I added notice at the top of the page.

ulaoulao
October 23rd, 2013, 15:23
Did you get SonofUgly's links and MM64 seems he may be able to provide some glide stuff.

Lefteris_D
October 23rd, 2013, 15:41
I'll be adding/updating the glide plugins later today and that will be it.

Lefteris_D
October 23rd, 2013, 21:43
I was checking to see what else I missed when I came to a realization, the last 3dfx cards came out more than 10 years ago...... when glide plugins mattered...... So yeah, let's not have more of those.

The page now includes ONLY plugins that are not already bundled with PJ64 or 1964. Anyone with at least some knowledge about emulators can just download both and copy over the files.

ulaoulao
October 24th, 2013, 18:02
Was there no intention for psx at this time or ever?

Lefteris_D
October 24th, 2013, 22:53
PSX will be within the next hour. Several of the "newest" versions seem to be up to 4 years old so I expect only a few updates.

http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/psx/psxplugins-tools.html

Edit: I think I am done. Feel free to tell me if I missed any of the updated ones. Do not mention any that are already bundled with emulators.
