So I plan on buying a new computer for gaming, and I want to know if I will be able to play on full settings on Dolphin/PC games. I haven't ever had a gaming PC, so this is an entire new thing for me to do. Here are the specs:

AMD FX-8350 Eight Core 4.0-4.2 GHz
ASUS M5A99X Evo Motherboard
16GB of RAM
ASUS HD7850 Radeon 2GB

These aren't all the things it has, but these are the most important hardware pieces that I think matter in determining something like this. I am able to upgrade any of these, but I feel like this is pretty maxed out already. However I'd like some more advice, will I be able to play Dolphin on full speed or any highend PC games such as Skyrim on full settings?

Thanks

I'm not up on AMD but, if you want to go AMD you need a steam roller. There is little support for it yet but they are working on it. At this moment the best CPU is the haswell and runner up the sandy/ivy. See the bench thread over on the hardware forums at the dolphin page.

You should have bought 8gb ram, fx 6300 and a better gpu, such as 660ti

Well, does anyone know if it can? Yeah anything can for the most part but do you want it fast enough to play? This set up is not going to be fast period. And yes as CalinCool said, 660 ti would be a much better choice.
