Konami has announced a new Castlevania title for the PlayStation 2, and it's called Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. The game is based on Lament of Innocence, but now it has a better technical stuff.

The main character is Hector, a vampire hunter that has a direct linage with the Belmont family. The game will take place in 1479, three years after Trevor Belmont from Castlevania III faced Dracula.

Koji Igarashi, the one behind Symphony of the Night, Harmony of Dissonance and Lament of Innocence will produce this new title as well. It’s rumored that Alucard will make his re-apparition in this game, but it’s just that, a rumor.

Castlevania: Curse of Darkness will count with more improved weapons and an better aiming system. We hope we enjoy this new title :)

I don't really know why they didn't make it in 2D style, but let's see how it's gonna be... Available on Fall 2005.

A 2D Castlevania was announced for the Nintendo DS.

I 'll buy both of them on the release date !!!!

It will be a direct sequel for Aria of Sorrow.
A relegious cult wants to kill Soma because he didn't become Dracula !!!
Very interesting story and a reason for me to buy a DS.
