Hi Guys,

I'm very new to the the emulator scene so if you guys can help me, I'd really appreciate it.

I downloaded a bunch of emulators mainly so I can play the orginal NES Zelda games (part one and two). I couldn't believe it when it actually worked and was on my computer screen! It was like being a little kid again.

Anyhow, my question is... my joystick/gamepad doesn't seem to be working with these games. I can play Zelda and use my keyboard as a controller, but neither gamepad work on it (I have an old one with two buttons and a very new Saitek rumble gamepad I just bought). I checked on my computer (windowns XP) and both of the gamepads are hooked up to my computer and work fine, but I can't play them within the emulator. Btw one (the old one) hooks up to the game port to the back of the computer and one (the new one) hooks up to the USB port.

Does anyone know which emulator will allow me to play the Zelda games with a controller instead of the keyboard? Or maybe I'm not setting it up right? The two Emulators that I've tried are RockNES and FCE Ultra and the game started fine but it doesn't seem to read the gamepad/joysticks I have.

Can anyone help?

thank you so much guys,
Rossco

You can't use the gamepad right away. You have to go to the emulator's menu and configure it first.

I know that.

Do you know which emulators will allow me to do that? I've tried adding and configuring it using these two a hundred times but it still doesn't work. Can anyone whose played this game tell me which emulator they used and what they did to configure it, or somewhat walk me through the process?

Sorry if I'm being a dumbass.

appreciate it.
