Roms playing, has sound, no picture. Please help, im a newbie

I have installed a snes emultaor and was trying to play super probotector on my wii through the homebrew channel. The screen goes black, sound comes through but no picutre. Any suggestions and help would be much appreciated.

if i remember right nintendo did something in the last firmware update that causes the problem but dont quote me i refuse to do this on my wii as you can brick it if done improperly sorry i cant be more help but im fairly new to emulation
