I have the psxfin on my lap top as well and you can hit a bit and it goes in fast forward. But on epsxe i cant seem to get the game to run faster then what it is suppose to run. I can only get it to run slower or at the speed the game was made to go at.
how can i make it run faster?
Thanks!

Wow, really? Most average computers today run it well fast. I got full speeds with a 780 something mhz back in the day. My guess is a configuration problem, did you run the wizard?
Please post your computer specs, most importantly the video card. If it is an onboard card it may be the issue. Also take a shot of the grafx config setting for us.

ok here is the issue
Video Card Intel(R) HD Graphics Family
The Intel HD is integrated on the motherboard and is sharing the memory (RAM) that is currently installed. This is not good for any kind of gaming. You proly' have an E machine or something like that.
You can try the dx7 plugins and see if it helps.

If not you need to get a better video card. If your not spending 100+ its not any good. Also keep in mind when buying a card make sure your power supply can handle it. If your only intention is to play ps1 emulators then just get a nice nvidia ($50 - $100) but dont expect to play anything more demanding.

hmm didnt work. My laptop just must not be fast enough to run it faster? I didnt think the psx used that much memory lol

OH laptop? Na, your SOL man. There is no upgrading that video card from what I know. You can ask the laptop maker if there is a better GFX card but that is your only hope to run emulation.
