Nes Emu With Controller Support?

I hate to just jump on this board and ask a question, but I'm really curious: which NES emulator works best for using controllers? Do any work with 2 controllers?

I'm going to buy something like the old Gravis Gamepad if I can find an emulator that works well with emulators. I'd love to hook up 2 controllers for 2-player games as well. I've checked out programmer's sites, but I can't find anything that talks about controller compatibility...what can you recommend?

Gravis gamepad will work on pretty much any emu I've tried.

alternatively if you have a PSX or PS2 already, buy a controller adapter for the PC. Gravis pad D-pads suck.

Thanks Waz and Neco. And most emulators support two controllers as well? Assuming I have the hardware, of course.

Yes, generally you can play on any emulator with any two Windows compatible controllers.
