Pls help

So i had a emulator which worked.
I wanted to trade my pokemon from a saved game to a other saved game.
I downloaded the link emulator. When i open the saved game, it won't load my saved game it just starts from the beginning with the blue screen.
Can some one pls help me... I have deleted my old emulator, i dont know which one it was anymore :(
I have used 3 emulators but none can find the saved game.
What can i do? :S
And how can i trade from one saved game to a other saved game?

If it didn't start the game off from where it was, it probably overwrited the save file, Do you know where the save file is located? You probably know that the emulators saves the game in a file where the actual game is located.
