dvd emulator

I wonder if there is a dvd emulator that you could watch dvd movies from a cd rom drive instead of a dvd drive

That's not possible. CD's and DVD's are the physically the same, but a DVD has a different format that CD-ROM drives cannot read. If I remember, CD's are written in CDFS format an DVD in UDF...

By the way, DVD pits are much smaller that CD's...
