Emulator Problem: Epsxe1.60 problem

I know there'r alot of topics like this one, but they haven't helped me at all.

I'm trying to run my favorite game of all time, Tomba! 2 on my epsxe 1.60 emulator, but it just gives me a black screen.
I tried 2 different game files, 1 was an ISO, and the othere one was a CCD.
The epsxe is just giving me a black screen @ both files.

How can I fix this?

Hey, I never tried playing that game on EPSXE, but you might wanna try it on pSX 1.13, I know it works on that. But for your EPSXE, have you tried playing any other games on it? I see nothing with your specs.

Why are you using that old version? Did you try 1.7?

nope you can't ePSXe is made to let you play PS1 games while PCSX2 is made to let you play PS2 games only.

BTW, I will try to test it for you once I grab the game. :)

Well i would reccomend you to try PSXEven. It has large compatibility and it also works with plugins. As for ePSXe 1.70,you must download good plugins for it.Best plugin developers are Peops and Pete. Also,a new ePSXe version is going to come out really soon.

don't be stingy or lazy on plugins, they are very important to game play. Get 1.7.0 and get the plugins, its a great emulator.
Wasn't lazyness, I just wanted something with all the plug-ins already installed because I have no idea what I need.
But yeah, Tomba! 2 is a ps2 game, so no wonder it didn't work in ePSXe. :$

So now I have PCSX2, but it's even harder to understand >_<

Montpics is right.Tomba 2 (Tombi 2) is a Playstation one exclusive game.It cannot run on a PS2 emulator, but it can work on the original PS2 (Because of backwards compatibility).Speaking of which,Tomba 2 worked just fine for my ePSXe,i also played it on pSX 1.13,and Psxeven.
Edit:I dumped my own ISO.As i had the original.I didn't need to download.Worked just fine.

I used to play Tomba! 2 (Yes, Tombi is the english version) on my PS2 all the time when I was little, no doubt about that.
But in that case, I'll download Psxeven, and try it. Will check in later.

Edit:
Not working with Psxeven, just getting a black screen.
Could it be that the game file is corrupt?
Can you send me the link of the file you used?

Second edit;
So oke, I downloaded another ISO file, which worked at first.
But it got stuck at this screen: http://puu.sh/1jGHE
And it keeps happening.
Any idea what might cause this?

I used to play Tombi! 2 on my PS2 when I was younger, no doubt about that.
I tried running it on Psxeven, but it gets stuck on http://puu.sh/1jGHE
It tells me it can't find a PSX executable, while I mounted the CCD file.
What did I do wrong? \

LOL that is exactly what lazy means?

Well the best bet is to get all you can and see what works best for you. Every set up is different. Tough like testmachine said, peops and pete make great plugins. the PSX emulator is a non plug-in based emulator and runs thing rather well.

about the ps2
but it's even harder to understand
Yeap that is a plug -in beast. If you dont like plug-ins you will hate this emulator. Though its the only real choice out there and you need a nice system to use it. My advice would be google for "PCSX2 tutorial" and just follow along.

Either a corrupted ISO or a non-PS1 ISO.

PS2 console is able to play PS1 games as it had backward compatibility. :)

Since you have problem dealing with plugins. You can try pSX since it does not require plugins to run.

Ok. Done. Back to sleep. :)

Maybe you should just load the iso with the "Run ISO" option on psxeven.

Regarding http://puu.sh/1jGHE This image. This must be a ripped version (Meaning:The bios image was changed, music was entirely excluded and some textures have been removed). This "Sony" shouldn't be here. There should be this logo.

A new Bios was the solution, I downloaded just SCPH1001 instead of the one I was using that came with the whole package.
Thanks everybody for trying to help, and thanks to montpics for putting so much time in it.
