PS3 Controller Setup

I have my controller plugged in and the drivers are installed but I still cant get it to work on Ape Escape. Ive been here for an hour trying to figure it out. I went to the plugin download section and downloaded the segu and harakiri controller plugins but still nothing. Is it because its the game or am i just missing something?

Ape Escape requires the analog stick to move around, there should be an option to switch the type of controller in the input plugin settings.
