I have Nestopia, and recorded myself playing Final Fantasy 1. I exported it as an AVI with all the default settings, and when I played it back the graphics were extremely blurry and pixelated to the point where it was impossible to read any text or tell the differences between some NPCs. Is there anyway to fix this?

Try third party screen recording software.

Try third party screen recording software.
Do you know any good ones? I've tried CamStudio but upon completion of the recording, it says "Windows Media Player is having trouble playing the file." and gives me the options of 'Close' and 'Web Help'. I've tried all the solutions given in Web Help, and none of them worked.

Well there ARE third-party recording tools some of them are:
Fraps (not free)
HyperCam (freeware for own purposes)
Camtasia (not free)
And the one VintageTorrie said.

I personally don't like Fraps for general recording, I only use it for recording games.

Thanks! I downloaded a lot of them, but TipCam was the first one I got to work.

Yeah, I uploaded it to youtube as my first LP, but it's really crappy. All the commentary is in annotations because I don't know how to record my voice.

Great recording. it was quite entertaining :D. However the fps was choppy. Is there an option in the recorder to increase the frame rate?

Thanks a lot! Yes, the recorder does have an option to change the frame rate. In the next episode I'll change the frame rate to a better one. Thank you so much for all the help.
