I played Chrono Cross for a good three hours last night before I realized that I could not save my game. No, its NOT because I wasn't at a save point or on the world map. For some reason when I went to save it would tell me that there was no available space on either slot of the memory card.
Let me just say that if this is a really stupid question or if I have missed something really obvious than I apologize in advance.
I'm using ePSXe 1.7 and I'm fairly new to it. So far the only game I've played with it is FF7, everything worked great (after I tweaked the settings a bit) and I was able to save my game with no problems. I started Chrono Cross yesterday and had absolutely no trouble with it despite some of the horror stories I've read about that game and ePSXe. In fact I was really enjoying myself and was really bummed when I realized I couldn't save. I also tried using F1 for a save state but that didn't work either. I never tried using save states with FF7 because I never needed to so I don't know if the save states problem is specific to Chrono Cross or if its not working at all, but it doesn't matter much to me either way since I'd prefer to use memory card slots.
So here's my first question: Am I supposed to make separate memcard files for each ISO? I tried to look this up and couldn't find the answer anywhere, even on the ePSXe site because none of the links are working. I just assumed that you could use the same pair of memcard files for all of your games but maybe I was wrong? That's the only reason I could think of as to why Chrono Cross would seem to detect the card slots and then tell me they were full, even though it doesn't seem to make much sense. Also I only have the ISO for the first disk at the moment, I didn't think that would matter and still don't.
So I'm at a loss. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
