Theres another way you can play them for now - like millions of other people you 'could' buy a PS2.
Or wait quite some time until a full emu. is released by some hard worked person
OR you could even make one yourself i have tried "editing" a N64 emu but i still cant 'find' Visual Studio Pro to compile it.
And also if you take any of this the wrong way im not trying to be rude or anything just telling you

Also does anyone know if the PSX AdriILe Emu is still an active project
Although it is working very well on alot of games

Having ePSXe is enough...

Not necessary. You better have other PS emulator as backup if something fails on ePSXe itself. Just like Final Fantasy 9 and Valkyrie Profile which is better be on PSXeven while Shadow Madness is playable only on FPSE.

AdriPSX...... I don't like it very much as it always crashed everytime I exit the program. Don't know why.......

Hmm! I cannot get FPSE to work which kind of sucks considering I just bought Shadow Madness off Ebay. Are you sure no other emulator will run it? There was virtually no info on configuring it and it wont run with ePSXe or PSXeven :(

A friend from Emuxhaven forum confirms Shadow Madness can be played using ePSXe but I still don't know why I can't do the same.

FPSE is a bit problematic as you could only put several plugins only. Put more, the emulator will hang or slow itself. So, put important plugins which will be used. I will try to post a screenshots later on. ;)

ePSXe can run while PSXeven can't be run? Could be possibly both emulators using a similar system in which one of the emulator will crashed? Not sure as I put ePSXe on WinXP while PSXeven on Win98. :p

So far its the only game I havent been able to get running on ePSXe or PSXeven so it must use some odd code that nothing else used :P

Yeah FSPE was a pain to set up. I gave up on it. If you find out how your friend got it working in ePSXe Id be grateful if you'd let me know. As it is Ive just moved onto Star Ocean instead ;)

There's configuration of ePSXe taken from that forum.

Shadow Madness - epsxe all versions - fpse - very few graphic glitches out of battles - scph1001 - peops software GPU, peops sound, peops cdr - P4 2.3 Ghz, 1024 MB ram, geforce 2 64MB, c-media ac'97 type audio
While you doing so, I just finished testing with Shadow Madness. With all PS emulators available (except CVGS and Emurayden), I was able to found more about the compability of the emulator to that game.

Using the latest version of certain emulators. Here's my configuration for all the emulator used.

Pete's OpenGL Driver 2.6
Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41
SaPu's CD-ROM Plugin 1.0
Segu Direct Input Keyboard Driver 0.3 (As alternative keypad)

And here's my system :
Windows XP
AMD Athlon(TM) XP 2200+
1.80 GHz
512MB of RAM
Nvidia GeForce FX 5600

Shadow Madness CD heavily scratched so I had to run it through a CD, not ISO.

So, here's my result :

ePSXe v1.6.0
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/montpics/05.jpg
Managed to get on screen.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/montpics/06.jpg
Somehow got hanged like that after I press the start new game.

PSXeven v0.18
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/montpics/07.jpg
It stuck like that while the music is still running after I ran the game.

FPSE v0.09
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/montpics/01.jpg
Managed to get on screen.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/montpics/02.jpg
After I press, the Start New Game, the game ran smootly as it seemed.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/montpics/03.jpg
Just a common glitch on any FMVs using this emulator. Noticed to blue colour.

Here comes the battle! After that the game continues.

PASS!

PCSX v1.5
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/montpics/09.jpg
Managed to get on screen.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/montpics/10.jpg
Runs pretty slow on CD reading, but still managed. Funny thing is that the movement of AI is two times faster than the usual even though the framerate still holds 59 fps.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/montpics/11.jpg
Movie is as good as it looked.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/montpics/12.jpg
Battle ensued and the story continued...... During the game found out some minor glitch on the game screen as the part of the sprites went missing.

However.... PASS!

AdriPSX ILE v1.0.5
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/montpics/13.jpg
Managed to get on screen.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/montpics/14.jpg
Runs a bit slow on CD reading. However the game ran smoothly.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/montpics/15.jpg
Movie is good as it looked.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/montpics/16.jpg
Battle ensued and the story continued...... Same with PCSX, I found out some minor glitch on the game screen as the part of the sprites went missing.

Also, after I quit the game, the emulator crashed by itself. Everytime I closed the game, it eventually did the same thing. That's one of the thing annoyed me.

However.... PASS!

Overall Winner : FPSE (Well IMO as it rans smoothly, no missing sprites on the game even though there is some minor problem on FMVs only.)

So, any doubts can be asked here.

Wow Montpics, you really went to a lot of effort. Thankyou. Ill try FPSE out again with the plugins you list and get back to you on weather it works or not. Thanks again for commitment above and beyond the call of duty.

Not really, just you came in for the right moment. Furthermore, I was free at that time. :)

Also, I almost thinking the same thing as you did when I found out Shadow Madness it not working with CVGS at first until now. ;)
