KiGB Palettes on Mac

Hi, I'm using KiGB on a Mac, emulating a classic GameBoy game. I seem to find references to being able to swap palettes or make custom palettes, but I'm completely lost as to where to do this within the emulator. There is the section in Preferences under Emulator that says "BW Palette:" with the dropdown options of Gameboy Pocket, Classic Gameboy, NO$GMB, an bgb. However, switching between these produces no change in palette.

Mainly I'd like the colorizing palette colors to be less washed out and yellow-ish. There are clearly blues, greens, and reds in the default palette, but they're all extremely washed out. Is there any way to do this, or am I out of luck?

I think it's also worth noting that even when emulating a GameBoy Color game, that BW (I'm assuming it stands for Black & White) Palette doesn't give any additional options and I can't find a way to change the palette there either.

Any help is much appreciated!
