Project 64 Wont Read Saves

Been using pj64 for awhile now first time i have ever had this problem i went to load a state as usaul and i go to load and pj64 will only alowe me to open .zip or .pj and most of all my saves are in .eep or .mpk. I have done nothing to change any of my setting i am balfaled at why it is doing this. I started playing EJ 3d and when i saved it put the save in a compressed file which i have never seen i do before and then i went to load a dif game with a save no go. SO if anyone has any idea as to why this happening i would love some help thank you
