Problem with FireRed Saving after E4

Hey guys. I dont know if this problem has come up b4, it it has I apologize. I finished FireRed and and did the shift f1 thing b4 the battle with gary. So afterwards the game reloads and credits roll by. The game doesnt save my file as it normally would in the real one. When I press a or enter on the screen that says press start, a message comes up. "The 1m circuit board is not installed" and prof oak comes to give the intro to the game. So I cant get to my old file. This message also occurs whenever I start a new game. This is days down the drain.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Pokémon Fire Red version is very troubling when saving. Maybe you should read related threads...

yeha I read them, this other guy had the same problem as me. I still cant fix it. O yeah my files are also saved as sgm ;)
