I've been playing final fantasy 10 for about an hour now, and I haven't been able to reach the first save point yet. Whenever there is any dialog in the game no one will say anything, and I can't do anything about it. It takes around 5-10 minutes to get through one sentence! Saying the sentence actually sounds just fine and is normal, starting the sentence is another story. Also any advice to make the game run faster would be much appreciated, I'm an emulator noob so I don't know shit lol

Hey there,
What are the spec's to your rig? I used to run FFX and FFXII awhile ago, and without a decent CPU and Video Card, it will lag horribly. The reason for that is because the FFX and XII game engine consumes a TON of ram/CPU processing/G-RAM. My advice to you would be to try and overclock the PCSX game itself, or give it the highest priority in the Task Manager inside Windows. (Assuming your rig is sub-par or without parts bought)
Something else you might try is to fiddle with the emu itself, I know there are some GFX options as well as other performance options.
Oh, and before I forget, remember to make sure you are not using an overly huge Resolution!!! I tried that with Dot Hack GU and had my resolution set on 1366x768 and I ran about 25-30 FPS the whole first game.
Also, what OS are you running? There were reports of serious Vista problems as well.
If you have any questions, or just wanna see if I can get it to work for you a bit better, drop me a PM and I will gladly help you out.
