Metal Slug 5... again!

Hi, I'm a Noob (duh). I just wanted to know if any of you know how to fix the metal slug 5 glitch? Thnx B)

I'm guessing it's because my bios has incorrect checksums. I haven't found a bios that had the right ones either :(

Could be..... or possibly the bios also......

But anyway try to check the CRC's of your romset which is detailed on here (http://forums.emulator-zone.com/index.php?showtopic=2784). (Could be different from any other roms but it should be played on your emulators with no problem on the graphic, since you download it from the source.) What emulator you are using?

.....And try to find the complete bios files if can.

I have metalslug5 working on WindowsXP with NeorageX4.5 and mslug5 (29.5M).
I do not get the bars of bad graphics at the top and across the middle where the player is.
It took me a few days to find a working solution...

i think its a bad rom, try downloading it again from another website or try running it on kawaks 1.45 loader by happyasr then edit the asr.dat file of the loader then enter this

I must have been lucky. The first mslug5 that I found, worked straight up on
kawaks 1.48dev. Still trying to find the proper roms for kof2001, kof2002, mslug4...

i have a working mslug4 its a great game, try searching g0ogle for mslug4.zip it would be easier to find one which is working... also im still downloading kof2k1 and kof2k2.. i really have a slow connection since its just a dial up... too bad, =(

Try to put it on Kawaks folder and click on the loader. If that doesn't work, perhaps it works only on previous version. Can't say more of a help. :cool:

And don't try to post link of loader as it is not allowed. Read the RULES! (http://forums.emulator-zone.com/rules.php?)

Yea sry. I have HappyASR or i think its his loader but i have no idea where to get the kawaks 1.45 i thought i had it but it disapeared :p.

When i put them in same folder and use the loader it says "winkawaks' version not supported!-)" and when i check the "whatsnew" readme it says winkawaks version 1.54, does that even exist??

PS: the loader readme is in all different symbols :p

Use Kawaks 1.46 with a loader...Use Google.

OK, I have Kawaks 1.46 + loader, but Metal Slug 5 does not appear in the list of available games.
What should I do? Is there a way to open MS5?

the Loader file is: 146loader.exe (13 kb).

Then you need to edit the asr.dat or add.dat on the same folder with Notepad in order to get it listed on Kawaks game list.

The method is pretty similar to Nebula's. Search through the forum about it. :cool:

It is not necessary to have the rom look like mine,simply change the CRC to the expected value
