Pokemon White Start Menu

I cant get to the start menu on pokemon white i set the menu as the ENTER key and nothing happens. Ive tried several different keys and still nothing. please help ty.

what is the emulator you are using.
The best Gameboy/color/advance emulator is VBA here is a link then try it

testmachine >> you can't play pokemon white on visual boy advance you can only play it on no$gba or desmume etc
kb234 >> did you set the start button or X button?? cuz in pokemon white you use X to open the menu instead of the old start button in the old pokemon games
