I noticed there is a setting for VBA and when I use it, it races to 3000-5000%. Is there a way to limit a max speed? I only want it maxed at 300% or so, so I can skip the crappy parts of games (walking, useless non boss fights, etc)

try this:set the emulator priority to very low then you will get about 50%

Thanks for your reply but that has nothing to do with my topic at all.

Bump, still need help. How do I set a max speed for when I hit the toggle speed button? I hate that it zips up to 4000% when I hit the key

Go to the options -> frame skip -> throttle -> select you max speed % or other.... to select you own speed.

Also so you don't have to hold down the key constantly you can go to options -> emulator -> speed up toggle
