I have managed to get an Emulator to run but it is slow and jittery. I am using the 'Click 2 u' Playstation 2 emulator 1.00. 48.

Here is how it is configured.

Here are my PC specs. Is this good enough to run an emulator smoothly?

Graphics card - NVIDEA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

Please somebody take pity on this emulation noob and help me!

Well first off why are you using an emulator that has stolen code from the PCSX2 emulator?

Second, why not use the original PCSX2 emulator?

I just used the program someone on a boxing forum give me.

Since i wrote that message i downloaded. PCSX 0.9.8 and used the bios i already have. It works much better but i am still having problems. I am trying to run FinalFantasy 12 and the cut scenes run fine, on average cut scenes run at around 50-60 fps but during gameplay it struggles at around 25-30 fps and speech and movement slows down.

Can anyone recommend me some plug-ins that will make it run better with the PC specs that i have? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Current plug-ins.

I feel that all i need is an extra 10 fps to make this game run at a reasonable speed.

You see my First Laptop Specs, even though before it had 1.0GB of RAM [Which was 2.0GB of RAM] it was slow, but that didn't stop me from playing.

At First I got PCSX2 0.9.6 which didn't have SpeedHack, and that was when I had 2.0GB of RAM. Second andVery soon [Googled for a Update "PCSX2 0.9.7"] after getting PCSX2 0.9.6 I then thought to look for the Update which I then found PCSX2 0.9.7 which with my 2.0GB of RAM it run very good. Third my Laptop stopped starting so it had to be Reformated, etc. Though My Cousin who was fixing it didn't have a fast computer as mine so I gave them 1 of My RAMS to support him, but with the SpeedHack, CCleaner[Got rid of my TEMP Files] and Increasing the Page File to 4096-4096 I was able to almost maintain a similar speed to having 2.0GB of RAM. Last My Dad unchecked the Index option [Right-Click "C:" Drive] which even brought up the speed even more.

Dude it doesn't just depend on the Hardware alone, its also The Software and The Person using the computer. The Hardware, The Software or The Person could solve it and be apart of the solution.

Guess what on the Second Laptop I still use the same things as I did in the First Laptop and Guess what its more Stable. The whole point of RAM, CPU Cores & GHz it to have a Stable computer not a Fast Computer.
Computer tend only slow down if the person uses more than what the Computer can handle after overflow its up to the RAM and etc to handle it.

Finally with My First Laptop in 2010, even though it was so slow[1-18FPS] all I did was Save My State which allowed me to comeback later. And you already know, but certain games run slow and in certain times like for LaPucelle which is 2D combined with 3D[Would be mistaken for a PS1 Game] ran very slow when I got the World Map...the World Map of all places.

Try This Plugins
Config > Plugin/Bios Selector
GS: GSdx (MSVC 15.00 SSE2) 0.1.7 [GSdx]
PAD: MegaPad plugin (beta) 2.0.0 [MegaPad]
SPU2: SPU2null 0.7.1 [SPU2null] for No Sound OR: SPU2-X 1.1.0 [SPU2-X-1.1] for Sound
CDVD: cdvdGigaherz (r4510) 0.8.0 [cdvdGigaherz]
USB, FW & DEV9: Default

I just notice this, but when I used Direct3D9 Software on my First Laptop[At the time Didn't have plugin below] I didn't notice how slow it was until I was running it on my Second Laptop.
Meaning it really depends on which settings you use, because the Graphic Card & Memory for the First Laptop isn't as good as the Second Laptop, but the Operating System for the First Laptop requires less speed that the Second Laptop.

Okay, yesterday I transfered some of my files from my First Laptop to my Second Laptop. [Not because something wouldn't work, its my Second is 2.0GB Faster, though Windows XP would give me less trouble. All I would have to do is switch the DDR3 RAM from the Second into First and my First Laptop becomes 3.0GB Faster...I could, but then I would have to transfer the payload again.]http://i54.tinypic.com/x5useu.png
I was trying to play DEF JAM - Fight for New York and was getting large blacks columns, so of course I tried different plugins I found out there is another plugin and I think this setting that the other GS plugin I suggested didn't have may be able to solve your problem.

Try This Plugin
GS: GSdx 4600 (MSVC 15.00, SSE2) 0.1.16
-Settings-
Renderer: Direct3D10 (Hardware) OR: Direct3D9
Interlacing (F5): None [Note: Its for shaking & etc]
-D3D Internal resolution (can cause glitches)-
Original PS2 resolution : Checked
-Hardware Mode Settings-
Allow 8-bit textures: Checked

lol stolen code from pcsx2.
I agree the slowness never stopped me. For some reason my ds is slow. I'm sure my specs are good for it though. pcsx2 is slow for me as well... I have 8 gigs of ram quad core @ 2.5ghz geforce gt 220(graphics could be the culprit). What video card do you have OP? I don't even see it in the specs image.

Definitely try pcsx2 and mess with the settings like crazy. If it gets to an unworkable state, simply hit those default buttons or use your good ole memory. Everything else your asking... simply google it baby! (ha)

NVIDEA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

From what i have read on google it's pretty sh*t but all my other spec's seem ok.

This is what i have been doing. I have managed to get it to go no lower than 30fps which is probably the best i'm going to get it run. I suppose i'm just going to have to put up with a bit of slowness here and there.

Thanks for the help guys.

Final fantasy X-2 and Final Fantasy XII here i come. :)
