FCEUX v. 2.0.0 controls broke

I was playing Earthbound Zero on FCEUX with no problems at first. I go to minimize the emulator when my hand hit a key. About 15 "settings" windows pop up. I close them all and find that the emulator is no longer responding to key presses. I close out the emulator and open it up again thinking that will solve the problem. Well, the keys are still not responding and there is a green number 4 in the lower left corner of the screen. I press the reset button numerous times and the number increases by 4 each time. It is currently at the number 24. Can someone please tell me what I did to cause this and how I can fix it?

Well here is what you should do:

1. If you have any saves or savestates, copy them from the emulator into another folder.
2. Download FCEUX again and copy the saves or savestates into the fresh FCEUX.

That should fix your problem, If it doesn't, you're doing something wrong.
