Hey I'm new to this whole thing. I just downloaded a JNES emulator and it works fine and all, the only problem I have is that I can't get my PS3 controller to work. I went into the control panel under game controllers, and my computer recognizes the controller, but when I try to calibrate it, it doesn't work. None of the buttons do anything. Can anyone help?

Are you using MotioninJoy?

No, I've been using an xbox controller, that works fine.

ok so now the emulator wont recognize anything as the buttons. I was playing Festers Quest last night with the Xbox controller I've been using and when I turned it on today it won't even recognize the keyboard.

Try Motionjoy for the PS3 controller - it's great. You'll need to download and install the PS3 controller drivers first. Just do a Google search. Then confirm it's working by finding the device in Devices. Click through the properties to test the buttons and joysticks. Sixaxis won't work. I have found that sometimes you have to launch the drivers or controller program a couple times for it to work. I use it for zSNES.
