Can the gamecube emulators play the games if the real cd was in the cd-rom drive?

I'm not sure, but I don't think a pc can read a Game Cube disk.

no. the GC disk is read from the outside of the disk to the inside, while regular cds/dvds are read from the inside out (i may have confused the directions)
