I had p64 1.6 before, but i downloaded windows 7 recently due a virus. And when i tried to play my emulator again, it gave me two errors. 1. "Direct3D failed to initialize Error Code: 8876086A D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE" 2. "The default or selected video plugin is either missing or invalid. Check if you have at least one compatible plugin file in your plugin folder" please help, i want my games again.

Project 64 was originally written for XP. You're either missing Direct X 9 components that the plugin is expecting (windows 7 has direct x 11) or you haven't installed any graphics plugins to use with PJ64 in the first place.

The standard download for PJ64 works just fine on Windows 7. I do have the optional direct X pack installed though as it is required by some games.

I agree with FatTrucker, it works fine with XP and Vista, but a lot of people at my school use P64 on a windows 7 and it didn't work. So either you download 1.7 if you can or you keep trying to find a fix for it. Try updating your drivers.
