Hi everyone... I'm kind of new to the whole "emulator" thing, but after reading about the Clock Tower series and how the first game was never released outside Japan, I thought I'd give it a try. First of all, let me say this game is REALLY scary; I knew it'd be scary, but now every time I hear my footsteps, I'm worried that the Scissorman is gonna show up and chase me!
Anyway, I'm kind of stuck for multiple reasons. First of all, Scissorman keeps killing me... nothing unusual there. However, I reread the article on Wikipedia, and saw how when he confronts you and you struggle with him, if you keep pressing the "panic button" fast enough, you'll be able to survive (at least for a bit, it wasn't more specific than that). My problem is I can't figure out what key the panic button is!
I'm at a severe disadvantage because I'm on a Mac (or, at least, because I'm in a pretty big minority). I'm using Snes9x, but when I go to configure the keys, it still shows a PC keyboard to map out the buttons. As a result, it appears things are slightly inaccurate. To make matters worse, I can't find any sort of original SNES instructions, so even if the keyboard was mapped out correctly, I still can't figure out where to map the proper button. Basically, all I know is that when I press shift, the cursor clicks, and when I press command, it brings up the inventory. Pressing shift whenever I'm struggling with Scissorman doesn't appear to save me (and I can give Master Higgins a run for his money), so I don't think that's the aforementioned panic button.
Anyway, if you've read this far, all I have to ask is... CAN ANYONE HELP ME?! :verysad:
