I'll get back to you, I'm currently on the phone to the Psychic hotline to find out what game, emulator, system you're talking about. While I'm there I'll ask them what operating system you're using, what your PC hardware is, etc, etc.

Try using an older version of your emulator and don't boot the ISO directly from emulator. It doesn't work sometimes (at least for me). Mount the ISO with a mounting sofware such as Alcohol.

Most likely issue is your graphics card having some incompatibility with the (rather old) graphics plugin you're using.

Download the latest version of the PSX emulator (1.13). try your games with that. If that works you can rule out any issues with your ISO's, Direct X or your graphics card and you know its just the Graphics plug-in. In which case you can then go back to ePSXe and try some different graphics plug-ins (Peops is usually good) to find one that works with your hardware.

I personally prefer PSX over ePSXe anyway. Its marginally more accurate, much more compatible across the board, takes virtually no tweaking or setting up and with the bilinear filter enabled the games look great.

From the PSX toolbar. File > Configuration > Bios then hit the ... button next to the bios field and browse to the location of your PS1 bios.

When you run the emulator it should open in a window and at the top of that window is a toolbar.
