Patching Game....Not Found

I get the message when I try to load an ISO of disc one of FFIX. Here is what I have:

Running on Windows Vista Home Premium
Using ePSXe 1.5.2

WinRAR has been working weirdly lately. I can't extract the discs for some reason.


Any other information needed, let me know.

Any suggestions?

Thats an older version of ePSXe so you could try the latest one 1.7 I think. Alternatively have a go with the PSX emulator. If it doesn't work with PSX then its almost certainly a problem with your game image, either not being unpacked properly or being broken in the first place.

If you're using an original Game Disk, try a different CD plugin with ePSXe.

Well, 1.7 has had problems with FF9, so I scratched it and went with 1.6.2 instead. Haven't had problems last time I set it up. (I set it up on XP, possibly my reason I can't get it on Vista?)

Seems a peculiar error, normally with Vista you would expect an error to relate to incompatibilities with DX10. If I find a fix before someone else posts one I'll let you know.
