CD/DVD burning problem

I just downloaded Ubuntu 9 and I love it I can install it in Windows just fine.
but when I try to burn it to CD\DVD it gives errors everyone told me to burn it 4X speed thing thing is my burner will not burn at that sped it will burn 6X and up is there some way I can force it to burn at 4X

I use Nero 7

Windows XP with Service Pack 2

I dont think the burn speed is the problem, I burn umbuntu at 16 speeds all the time. Anyways here is a reg hack for nero http://club.myce.com/f48/force-1x-burn-nero-85339/

What I had to do was go and get some new CDS that would only burn at 4X speed CD-RW
