TGB Dual and Pokemon Blue

I'm having a bit of a color problem. When I start Pokemon Blue on my TGB emulator, it sometimes won't start. The emulator window just flashes white after a couple seconds and continues doing this. When it does work, the colors are really weird. Everything is red/yellow/orange. Not like Pokemon Red would be, but the colors overlap on everything and it gets really strange. Any ideas on how to fix either of these problems?

I use VBA for everything but the old Pokemon games. I prefer playing them on TGB because I can set it to a certain and I can't do that with VBA.
